Your love story is kind of a miracle, if you think about it.
Out of the 7.8 billion people on the planet, and the dozens of bad first dates, and the years feeling like you would never find someone... you found someone. An amazing, perfect-for-you, written-in-the-stars someone.
And now you are getting married.
This moment deserves to be celebrated. Documented. Preserved in a way that your great-grandchildren can look at decades from now and think, “Wow, I feel like I was there.”
And that’s exactly what we are going to do together. As a documentary photographer, I’ll capture every single moment of your wedding day love story so you can relive your best day ever over and over again.
“We hired Erica for her authentic style. We wanted to see all those small moments between our friends and family — experiencing joy, laughter, romance, or being silly. As the couple, those aren't the moments we'd be able to see because you can't be everywhere at once, so that's exactly what we wanted Erica to capture. Because of her work, we have this collection of memories from our wedding day.”

You reach out, and I reply quickly with more information on my packages and some links to past galleries before we set up a Zoom call to get to know each other better. I will walk you through a wedding gallery on the call and point out important details like the difference between having two photographers vs. one, what “side moments” look like, how I handle family portraits, and more.
After booking (all I need is a signed contract and retainer), we’ll have one more phone call to go over your final timeline for the day, plan what formal portraits you might want, and to schedule your engagement session if you purchased one. The engagement session will help us connect on a deeper level, in addition to producing amazing pre-wedding photos.
On your wedding day, we will spend some time together — especially for those portraits we discussed in advance — but don’t be surprised if you do not see me the whole time. My goal is to blend in with your guests, capturing moments big and small throughout the day.
Your wedding gallery will be delivered digitally no more than 12 weeks later. If you purchased an album, it will arrive 1 week after you approve the design. I cannot wait for you to see your day from my perspective.
“Erica is such a gifted artist who beautifully captured our wedding day. She did a great job capturing all the little moments within the big day. Everyone is going to have photos from their wedding, but with Erica those photos tell stories about the day that remind you of all the little moments that can sometimes be forgotten.”
I vow to be there on your wedding day come rain or shine, for 2 guests or 200, for the smiles, the tears, and everything in between. I vow to be your confidant and friend — someone who earns your trust, who respects your vulnerability, and who honors your love story by documenting it authentically.
Absolutely. I still take traditional portraits of the couple and your family (normally taken after the ceremony). Several weeks prior to your wedding, I will ask you for a list of portraits you would like to have so I don’t miss anyone, but this is the only time during your wedding I will be working from a list.
Just one, because I want you and your celebration to be 110% of my focus. As a matter of fact, I only work 30 weddings per year — far less than most wedding photographers. It’s important to set these boundaries for my self care so I can show up energized and excited to each event.
Hell yes! I call Slippery Rock home, so I am happy to capture weddings in Pittsburgh, Wheeling, Washington D.C., Philadelphia, Cleveland, and other Pennsylvania and Ohio cities. I love to travel beyond the Southwestern PA area, too, if you are planning a destination wedding and want your own personal paparazzi.
No worries — you might find the answer on my full FAQ page, or you can always send me an email.
